2013 Student Fun Show was a huge success!!!

The 2013 student fun show turned out to be a huge success as students competed for beautiful ribbons and trophies. The student fun show took place Saturday July 13 at 1p.m. in the large arena at Grassland Ranch. Students and families arrived early to pick a spot for their chairs around the arena to catch all the action. The event included 9 students who qualified to compete in 5 out of 8 classes for ribbons and trophies. The show also included a fun "Coke Race" that rewarded the winner a 24 pack of ice cold Coca Cola to cool the buds on a hot day. The results are listed below for each class. A "Heart" award was also given to a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place student with the biggest heart for learning and improving their skills at Grassland. The 3rd place winner was Andrew Hughes, 2nd place was Olivia Brown, and the 1st place winner was Hope Mueller. Grassland would like to give a huge thanks to Ms. Amanda Strickland for working so hard as instructor to these girls and boys.

The 2nd annual Grassland Ranch fun show is TBA. (More info to come soon ) The cost to get in will be $5 per car load; boarders free. We encourage you to all come out and enter to compete in any of the following fun events:

Open Competition Trail Class

Open Halter

Open Walk Trot

Open Western Pleasure

Open Catalog Race

Open Arena Race

Intermission

Open Coke Race

Open Reining

Open Barrel Racing

Open Pole Bending

Open Pick Up Race (Rescue Race)

Open Jumpers

***Rules, patterns, and more information will be listed here the Wednesday before the show day.***

Classes are $5 each to compete with 80% payback awarded to the top 30% in each class. So for example: If there are 10 riders in a class the pot would contain $40 and we would award 3 places. The break down in money would be a split of 40%, 35%, and 25%. Therefore 1st place would recieve $16, 2nd place $14, and 3rd place $10

***Although this event is not open to the public we will allow and encourage all boarders to invite their friends to bring horses and compete.***
